The founder of First Pavilion Global Group, Datuk Wira Dr. Lee Thiam Chai (officially known as Datuk Wira Dr. Franck Li), was conferred the Darjah Cemerlang Seri Melaka (D.C.S.M.) award, which carries the title Datuk Wira, in conjunction with the 74th birthday celebration of the Yang di-Pertua Negeri (Governor) of Melaka, Tun Mohd Ali Rustam.
Datuk Wira Dr. Lee (46) is the only Singaporean to be conferred the Datuk Wira D.C.S.M. title. He graduated from the University of Greenwich in London, UK, where he earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Finance. He is the second child in his family and has a son and a daughter with his wife, Datin Wira Dr. Kym Sit May Yin (薛美盈).
Datuk Wira Dr. Lee entered the Malaysian financial industry in 2002 as an investment broker for an international financial institution. In 2006, he started his own business by establishing an information technology company in Kuala Lumpur. Subsequently, he traveled to Jakarta, Indonesia, in 2013 to expand into a financial institution. In 2016, he entered a joint venture with partners to establish a futures trading company and served as its Chief Executive Officer. In 2019, Datuk Wira Dr. Lee operated a regulated digital asset company in Bangkok, Thailand, with Thai partners.
Keeping pace with constant progress and changing times, Datuk Wira Dr. Lee utilized technology and his over 20 years of experience in the financial sector to respectively establish First Pavilion Trading Sdn Bhd, First Pavilion Technology Sdn Bhd, FPG Solution & Consultancy Sdn Bhd, and First Pavilion Global Berhad in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. These companies each possess different strengths and are capable of providing a one-stop technology development and market service for the financial and tech sectors.
Furthermore, Datuk Wira Dr. Lee has also expanded into different industries in Singapore. In addition to utilizing his expertise to found a financial technology company, FP Technology Singapore Pte Ltd, to drive the digital marketing sector, he also established FP Autosports Singapore Pte Ltd, which holds the sole distributorship for Italian luxury yachts. Concurrently, he founded an independent luxury car trading platform as well as a premium private-dining cultural Chinese restaurant, Emperor Royal Singapore Pte Ltd. Datuk Wira Dr. Lee is not only the founder of these companies but also holds key positions within them. Over the next 3 years, more branches will be opened across Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand.
Datuk Wira Dr. Lee has consistently guided the company’s development with keen business acumen and enduring perseverance. In addition to making innovative strides in the financial field, his technology companies have also grown from the startup phase into industry-leading enterprises.
Datuk Wira Dr. Lee is confident in taking the Group public in Asia and the United States within the next 5 years.
